How Kapehan Started: From Frustration to Platform
Kapehan was built out of a simple frustration: finding the right coffee shop shouldn't feel like a research project.
Kapehan started in 2025 with a simple but frustrating question: why is it so hard to find the *right* coffee shop?
We weren’t just looking for coffee. We were looking for context — good lighting for work, available sockets, stable WiFi, comfortable seating, and the right vibe depending on the day. But most platforms only showed ratings and photos.
Finding a cafe meant jumping between apps, scanning reviews, checking social media, and sometimes physically visiting the place just to see if it fit. It felt inefficient.
So we asked: what if there was one platform designed specifically for coffee discovery?
Not just a directory, but an index. A system where cafes could showcase their space properly, and customers could filter based on real-world needs like 'Good for Working', 'Good for Hangouts', or 'Has Air Conditioning'.
Kapehan was built to bridge that gap. It helps coffee drinkers discover better spots faster — and helps local cafes gain meaningful visibility in a digital-first world.
This is just the beginning. Kapehan is evolving into a platform that empowers both customers and cafe owners — from discovery to insights, and eventually, tools that help cafes grow smarter.
